\u3000\u3000After a year of ups and downs, summer camp was an opportunity for students to enrich their English in a fun and varied way. As with all the camps, the main thrust of this year\u2019s summer course was to expose students to varied English and the cultures, habits, and pastimes of English speaking nations.
\u3000\u3000With each week having a different focus, and each day investigating it from a different perspective, students were kept engaged and excited about what each new lesson might bring.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u3000\u3000In the first week, the topic centered on various sports, starting with the familiar, like basketball, and building on this familiarity to connect it to similar sports. The week ended with some unusual and extreme sports and pastimes such as parkour and free climbing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u3000\u3000In week 2, students learned about music, from throat signing to Bollywood, they had the opportunity to find out more about the unusual and unique ways people from other English speaking nations express themselves through song, dance, and with instruments. Students even got a chance to build instruments themselves, and perform in class!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During week 3 students learned all about the various interesting and unique ways people around the world prepare and eat their food.
