\u3000\u3000Spooky season is back!\u00a0<\/p>

\u3000\u3000With an improving covid situation, Kang Chiao Linkou Campus was able to celebrate Halloween and the School\u2019s Founding Day per usual.\u00a0\u00a0This means that the International Department was able to host 12 Halloween Booths and the ever-popular haunted house.\u00a0\u00a0With returning favorite booths such as \u201cpumpkin golf\u201d and \u201cbouncy eyeballs,\u201d and new activities \u201cthe spider web\u201d and \u201cglow in the dark ring toss,\u201d students were able to enjoy an entire day\u2019s worth of spooks, scares, and fun.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

\u3000\u3000Although last year\u2019s most popular costumes included characters from \u201cSquid Game\u201d and \u201cDemon Slayer,\u201d there was no particularly prevalent theme this year.\u00a0\u00a0Students mostly enjoyed dressing up as whatever they wished.\u00a0<\/p>

\u3000\u3000Of course, no Halloween celebration at Linkou campus would be complete without the annual Haunted House.\u00a0\u00a0This year\u2019s theme of \u201cZombieland\u201d mixed just the right amount of scary and fun, as students were chased around the haunted house by our dedicated and passionate teachers in costume.\u00a0\u00a0From traversing the graveyard, the morgue, crawling under a police car, and making it through the haunted movie theater, our students bravely marched until completion.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

\u3000\u3000We at Kang Chiao look forward to re-establishing Halloween as a yearly tradition of laughs and scares.\u00a0\u00a0The upcoming theme may just come from\u00a0another world\u2026<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u3000\u3000With a busy syllabus and high expectations, it is easy for a whole year to pass by without notice. It is important though, to make an effort to slow things down, to celebrate special times, and to let students have a little fun as well. Although Halloween often gets all the attention, this year, Christmas was a big deal too!<\/p>

\u3000\u3000For a whole month, teachers and students participated in various in class and whole school activities, and we\u2019d like to share the fun and games with you!<\/p>

This year, on every Thursday of December leading up to Christmas, the ID department hosted different Christmas activities. First off, an old favorite \u2013 Crazy Christmas Photos, with props, smiles, and cute backgrounds. Next came Christmas DIY, where students could make their own mini Christmas trees. This was followed up a week later by Reindeer Ring Toss, where students tried their hand at a Christmas version of horseshoes. Finally, and to bring it all together, the Christmas Spirit show, where students and teachers performed skits and songs for their friends and peers to share some festive spirit.<\/p>

\u3000\u3000Ho ho ho! Christmas surrounded us, and happiness was everywhere!<\/p>

\u3000\u3000In December, we could hear the lovely melodies of Christmas and enjoy the festive decorations all around the campus.<\/p>

\u3000\u3000Of course, it was also the time for our grade 1 and grade 2 teachers to lead their cute students to perform adorable carol shows. Teachers and students spent nearly two weeks making props and practicing their dances. They were so excited to spread joy and express their Christmas spirit.<\/p>

\u3000\u3000On December 22, our grade two teachers and students visited offices and classrooms to perform for everyone. Right after that, our grade 1 students took their turn to spread cheer. Even though it was their first year doing carols, the little ones didn’t show their nerves and danced and sang their hearts out.<\/p>

Both the grade 1 and 2s did a great job, and each little elf, Santa, Christmas tree, and reindeer spread festive spirit in their own way.<\/p>
