\u3000\u3000Writing at Kang Chiao is about teaching our students how to think and express themselves using English.\u00a0 With the introduction of “myView” in English classes this year, the International Department also took the opportunity to update our curriculum in order to improve student outcomes.\u00a0 One of the most important changes we’ve made this year is introducing writing prompts as a regular component of our curriculum.\u00a0 Writing prompts are activities in which our students will be tasked to write in a variety of genres and demonstrate different writing skills.\u00a0 Each student completes 8 writing prompts a year.<\/p>

\u3000\u3000The “myWriting Showcase” is designed\u00a0to reward our students who worked hard on writing\u00a0throughout\u00a0this semester.\u00a0 Each grade selected a specific writing prompt\u00a0and students were nominated from every class.\u00a0 Members from\u00a0the ID office selected works based on\u00a0their content, creativity, and demonstration of character.\u00a0\u00a0The selected students each received a “myWriting Award” certificate and have\u00a0their work showcased here on Hello English.\u00a0<\/p>

\u3000\u3000We plan\u00a0to continue\u00a0this showcase once per semester with a variety of writing prompts in order\u00a0to give every student\u00a0an opportunity\u00a0to show\u00a0their best.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
