Exciting Innovations in Student Media: A Year of Success in Podcasting and TV News!
This year has been a landmark for Kang Chiao International School Creator Club, showcasing the incredible talents and creativity of our students. Our students launched their very own podcast and TV news station, setting a high bar for excellence in student journalism and media production.
A Year of Firsts: Student-Driven Media Initiatives
Creating the podcast was a thrilling journey from conception to broadcast. Students brainstormed topics, researched, scripted their show, conducted interviews, and mastered the art of audio recording. Their hard work culminated in a series of engaging episodes for all students to hear and learn from. Covering a diverse range of topics – from school events and student achievements to in-depth discussions on current affairs – our podcast not only entertained but also informed and inspired.
In the second semester, our TV news station brought a new level of professionalism to KCIS Linkou News. Each broadcast was a testament to the students’ dedication and growing expertise. They tackled everything from researching, scriptwriting, interviewing and on-camera presentation. The news segments were polished, informative, and a proud representation of the students’ capabilities.
Skills for the Future: What Students Gained
Through these productions, students gained invaluable skills that extend far beyond the classroom. They learned the importance of teamwork, developed strong communication abilities, and honed technical skills in audio and video production. More importantly, they discovered their voices and the power of storytelling and learned how to craft narratives that resonate with their audience.
